Appointments
At Laser & Cosmetic Dentistry, one of the first things you will notice is our commitment to customized, comprehensive care for all members of our dental family. In order to ensure all patients receive the exact same courtesy and commitment, we reserve appointment times for our patients. These appointment times guarantee specific one on one time with a treatment coordinator, the doctor and an operatory specifically for that patient during the scheduled time. Reserving time just for you - another familial difference Laser & Cosmetic Dentistry provides our patients.
First Appointment – New Patient Visit
We pride ourselves on the comprehensive nature of all aspects of dental treatment here at Laser & Cosmetic Dentistry. We love to get to know our patients at their first visit and believe that visit will exceed the expectations of even the pickiest of patients. You will receive a very thorough examination, all necessary x-rays, oral cancer screening, periodontal charting, an examination of the hard & soft tissues, hygiene therapy diagnosis, a review of your wants & desired outcomes, as well as Dr. Teja's expertise and skill when creating your optimum treatment plan. Please expect to be here at least one and one half hours. In most cases, we will review the phases of treatment and all financial considerations prior to you leaving that day.
Emergency Appointments
Emergency appointments are always welcome. We never want any person to experience dental problems or pain. Since no one can ever predict when an emergency will occur, please contact us as soon as possible when you are experiencing pain, swelling or a fever. We will work you into our regularly scheduled day as best as possible.
Hygiene Therapy Appointments
There are various types of hygiene therapy appointments Dr. Teja could prescribe. Keeping in mind our approach to treating you as a family member, you will be diagnosed with the type that will benefit you the most. It often varies from person to person even within the same household. Your frequency can vary as well, some people are fine being seen every six months while others, due to irritational or risk factors need to be seen every three months. We will let you know your hygiene therapy type and frequency at your first visit.

Facilities and Equipment
Patients of Laser & Cosmetic Dentistry are members of our dental family. Family members are always very special and we love having them in our home-like practice. We firmly believe everyone should have the optimum in dental care that is right for him or her.
We want everyone to not only feel comfortable and relaxed when visiting us, but also know they are surrounded by the latest advancements in the dental industry designed to enhance their experience and comfort. You will not find the latest in gadgets here because they look cool or are sleek and modern, but because they add to our patient's peace of mind, allow for easier delivery of anesthetic, faster restorations, less time off from work, among many other home type comforts; soothing colors, décor, pillow-like headrests, and the choice of aromatherapy.
Schick Digital Radiography
By using Schick Computerized Digital Radiographyâ(commonly known as digital x-rays), we reduce the amount of radiation exposure by over 90 percent less than the older style x-rays. In addition to being safer for our patients, they reveal much clearer images for diagnostic purposes for our team members.
Intraoral Cameras
Our intraoral photography enhances the information exchange between our practice and the patient. The patient gets the opportunity to see exactly what the dental team sees.
DIAGNOdent
Prevention is a key to a healthy smile in our opinion. The quicker decay is detected and identified then the faster we can get you on the path to optimum oral health. One of the key tools we use in the diagnosis of decay or caries is the DIAGNOdent. The DIAGNOdent technology is non-invasive and harnesses the power of light to detect and score the level of decay or bacteria in the tooth structure. The higher the score, the more decay is present. Proactively treating smaller cavities before they become larger issues saves you time and money in the future.
CEREC 3D
Laser & Cosmetic Dentistry is very honored and proud to be able to feature the CEREC 3D. This system allows us to craft restorations in as little as one visit for our patients. Those same crowns, inlays or onlays that called for multiple appointments and time away from work or school for you, now can be done in a couple of hours in the office. No longer is there a need for temporary restorations while you wait weeks for the lab to return the final restorations – you can get the final in place that same day.
Waterlase MD Laser Dentistry
One of the latest advances in laser technology is the Waterlase MD Laser. It emits a very precise stream of purified water droplets to remove decay, gum tissue, and even enamel (the hardest substance in the human body). Since we can target only the tissues we want to remove, the healthy gum tissues and tooth structure are unaffected. Of higher benefit from the patient's perspective are the reduction in noises and sensations they associate with the dental drill, such as high pitched noises, constant vibrations, heat and the unavoidable occasional contact with nerves. The Waterlase makes the need for drills and needles almost obsolete in most cases.
